About the Department, Infrastructure and activities:

2) Academic activity:-

Regular seminars, Clinical discussions and Journal clubs conducted two days in a week along with regular bedside clinical classes for both undergraduates and postgraduate students.

3) Any special activities:-

Cochlear implantation programme for prelingually deafened child is being conducted in the department on regular basis under ADIP schem

Ongoing Research Activities:

1.A Clinicopathological study of Epistaxis and its management.

2.A Clinicopathological study of benign vocal cord lesions with special reference to microlaryngoscopy.

3.A comparative study of Tympanoplasty with two different graft matrrials-Split cartilage and Temporalis fascia with special reference to hearing improvements

4.A study on Chronic Rhinosinusitis with special reference to anatomic variation and histopathological correlation.

5.A Comparison between different types of graft materials used in short columella ossiculoplasty.

6.A Clinicopathological study of Thyroid nodules and correlation among sonologic,cytologic and histopathological studies.

7.A study on childhood deafness with special reference to audiological findings and treatment outcomes.

8.A clinicopathological study of Squamosal variety of Chronic Otitis Media and its correlation with operative findings.

9.A Clinicopathological study of Cervical Lymph Node and correlation among Sonological and Cytological findings.

MIDAOICON,2015-Mid term state conference of the Association of Otolaryngologists of India, held in the month of September this year in association with the department.
