Age Limit:
- The applicant’s maximum age should be not more than 30 years.

Educational Qualification
- Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or a Master’s degree in Science or any other scientific or technical discipline from a recognized University or institute.
- Applicants must have qualified for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam from 2022/ 2023/ 2024.
Cabinet Secretariat DFO Tech Selection Process 2024
The Cabinet Secretariat will select the applicants for the direct recruitment of DFO (Technical) through the following selection process:
- GATE scorecard: Candidates will be selected based on the scored valid marks in the GATE exam 2022/ 2023/ 2024 for each subject. The authority will prepare a merit list of the candidates selected for the next stage of the selection, and interview based on their GATE score.
- Interview: The merit list candidates will be called for the interview that will be held in centers, such as Guwahati, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Jammu, Lucknow, and Gurugram, Jodhpur.
- Document Verification: Candidates will undergo a document verification test, where they have to present the original documents and self-attested copies of the documents to the selecting board to complete their final selection.
- Medical examination: The candidates may have to go under a medical examination to ensure the candidates are medically fit and capable for the post.
