The LBS Center for Science and Technology conducted the Kerala State Eligibility Test (SET) on 28 July 2024. Candidates who appeared for the July examination now await the result to know their qualifying marks for appointment as Higher Secondary School Teachers.

The Lab Centre for Science and Technology conducts the SET examination twice a year to ensure the Higher Secondary course standards of teaching. The aspiring teachers must pass the SET exam to be selected as Higher Secondary teachers and Non-vocational teachers in VHSE, as per Kerala special rules. 

The authority has conducted the SET-2024 January exam and now, the candidates have participated in the July  SET 2024 exam on 28 July 2024. Candidates who appeared on the July Set 2024 exam are now wondering about the SET results.

The authority has not disclosed any official SET result date, however, seeing the past trend, where the January exam was held on 21 January and the authority declared the result on 29 February 2024, the students can check the Kerala July SET 2024 exam results by 3 September 2024.

The authority has published the July SET-2024 Answer key on the official website, the candidates can check the answer key to cross-check their answers. The candidates who wish to challenge should send their request to the authority within five days of answer key publication with valid proof.

Candidates can check the Kerala July SET-2024 results with their SET 2024 roll number through the following steps:

  • First, visit the official LBSE July 2024 website at https://lbsedp.lbscentre.in/setjul24/
  • Next, look for the Kerala SET-July-2024 result link on the homepage. 
  • Next, click the SET 2024 result link and enter the SET roll number along with the captcha. 
  • After you submit the details, your Kerala July SET-2024 results will appear on your screen. 
  • You can save or take a printout of the SET 2024 result for future use until you receive the certificate.

The Kerala July SET-2024 has two papers, where Paper I was common for all the candidates, and Paper II was based on the candidate’s specialization at the PG level. 

The candidates who appeared for the Kerala SET 2024 July exam would need the following  minimum percentage of marks to clear the SET 2024 based on their category:

The rounding of marks applies to total marks only not in the separate marks of Paper I & II.

What’s next after the Kerala SET in July 2024?

After the declaration of the Kerala SET July 2024 examinations, the candidates who successfully cleared the test have to send the following documents for document verification and certificate issuance to the Director, LBS Centre, Nandavanam, Thiruvananthapuram:

  • Kerala SET July-2024 submitted application form 
  • Original Mark sheet and certificate of PG degree and B.Ed degree
  • Copy of 10th and intermediate mark sheet and passing certificate
  • Recognition and Equivalency certificate from any Kerala University (if applicable)
  • Caste/ Category certificate 
  • Prescribed format declaration duly attested by the Principal for the final years PG/B.Ed candidates.

The candidates should produce the mentioned documents within one year from the date of result publication with their SET certificate application, if you apply for the certificate after a year or more, you have to pay the late fee of ₹500 and an additional amount of ₹250 for subsequent years. 

Hence, after the result declaration, the successful candidates must complete the document verification to receive the SET pass Certificate and get a job as a Higher Secondary School teacher or Non-vocational Teacher in Kerala Schools and VHSE.
