OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024
The OSSSC invites online applications for the Teacher’s posts in Government schools under ST & SC Development, M & BCW Department. The Commission plans to fill the 2629 teacher posts in different categories of Odisha district government schools.
As per the notification, the online registration for the OSSSC teacher’s post was scheduled for 10 September 2024 to 05 October 2024, however, as per the latest notice, the Commission has postponed the online application submission until further notice.
Now, the candidates are speculating when the application window will open. According to reports, the candidates can expect the application registration to commence in October 2024.

OSSSC Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates who wish to apply for the OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024 can check their eligibility to apply from the below eligibility criteria:
Age Limit:
- Applicants age should be between 21 years and 38 years old on the cut-off date of 01 January 2024 for the teacher application.
- The upper age is relaxed for the SC/ST/SEBC/Women category by 5 years, PwD by 10 years, and others based on the Odisha Civil Service 1989 rules.
Educational Qualification:
- The educational qualification for each post-TGT, PET, TLT, and so on differs from each other depending on the post requirements. The applicants can briefly check the educational qualifications for each subject teacher, post on the notification, and be certain of the post eligibility they are applying for.
- The applicants must know how to write, speak, and read Odia and pass the matriculation exam in Odia as the medium or pass in the Odia language.
OSSSC Teacher Selection Process 2024
Candidates who wish to apply for the OSSSC Teacher recruitment should get familiar with the following selection process to understand the recruitment stages:
- Written test: The Commission will conduct a written test in all the districts to assess the candidate’s knowledge relevant to each Teacher post.
- Tribal Language Skill test: The candidates who applied for the Tribal Language Teacher posts and cleared the written test will qualify for the Tribal Language skill test to assess their proficiency in the concerned tribal language.
- Provisional Merit List: The commission will prepare the provisional merit list for candidates who clear the written test based on their marks and category.
- Document Verification: Candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the Written test or Written test with Tribal Language test and have their name shortlisted in the merit list will be called for the document verification.
- Counseling: The commission may organize the counseling for allocation of posts and districts based on their merit-cum-choice according to the available posts.
After the counseling, the commission will publish the final district-wise selection list based on the written exam, district, and advertised post.
