RTE Gujarat Admission 2024-25, Application Date, Eligibility, How to apply?

The RTE Gujarat has released the notification of free admission to Class-1 for children belonging to the weaker section and disadvantaged groups for the academic year 2024-25. Parents looking to enroll their children can participate in the upcoming admission process, registration will take from 14 to 21 March 2024.

RTE Gujarat Admission 2024-25

The RTE Gujarat aimed to provide education to every child of the State through the initiative. The initiative to provide free admission under the RTE Act 2009 to children who come from weaker sections and underprivileged groups was started by the Gujarat State government.

The program of the state government is a part of the national effort Right to Education Act, which ensures that every child in India should receive mandatory education.

The RTE Gujarat has announced the admission for the academic year 2024-25 in its recent notification. The eligible children will get free admission according to the 25% in non-subsidized private primary schools.

According to the notifications, the admission process will start in April and the application process will begin from 14 March 2024 to 21 March 2024.

For parents, the duration to collect the necessary documents for the online applications is from 5 March 2024 to 13 March 2024.The district-level approval/ rejection of the online form will commence from 14 March 2024 – 28 April 2024.

The applicants will get the time to upload the missing documents in the application from 1 April 2024 to 3 April 2024 timeframe. The applicants will get the last chance to get the document verified on the district level for the invalid applications from 1 April 2024 to 4 April 2024.

Eligibility for the RTE Gujarat 2024-25 Admission

The eligibility criteria for the children eligible for the RTE Gujarat Admission in the 2024-25 academic session are as follows:

The applicant’s parents and child must be citizens of Gujarat.
Children who have completed six years on 1 June 2024.
Families belonging to weak and underprivileged groups.

Priority is given to the following children:

Orphan child in need of care and protection
Children of Migrant workers and Child sanctions.
Children with mental retardation/ cerebral palsy/ special care requirements/ physically handicapped.
Children receive antiretroviral therapy (ART) treatment.
Female child of martyred military/ police force/ paramilitary.
Parents who have only one female child.
Children studying in Anganwadi owned by the Gujarat government.
Children come from BPL families having 0 to 20 marks.
Children from SC/ ST families.
Children from OBC categories/ Socially and Educationally Backward Class/ Nomadic.
General category children

According to the notice, the income limit for the children falling in the priority list from number 5 to 11 except 8 for rural areas is Rs1,20,000/- and for urban areas, Rd 1,50,000/-

The registration mode for the RTE Gujarat Admission 2024-25 is online. So, follow the below steps to complete your online application for the RTE Gujarat 2024:

Go to the official website of RTE Gujarat. https://rte.orpgujarat.com/
You will find the application link on the website from 14 March 2024.
Click on that link and complete the registration process by providing essential details.
Once you get your registration ID and password, log in to the website.
Go to the application form and enter your details such as name, caste, etc.
Upload the scanned original documents on the portal.
Review the application and submit it.
