The National Testing Agency will soon release the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam (AISSEE) notification for admission to classes VI and IX academic years 2025-26. Sainik School Admission Form 2025-26
The NTA conducts the AISSEE exam annually across the country for admission to the Sainik Schools run by the Sainik Schools Society. Sainik Schools is a residential school that prepares students to join the NDA and other training officer academics. Every year thousands of students sit for the entrance exam to study at prestigious Sainik schools across the country.
Parents waiting for the Sainik School admission notification for the 2025-26 academic year can expect the application soon for the entrance exam. The officials are yet to release the official notification and form, however, seeing the past trend, parents can expect the admission form in October/ November 2024.

Sainik School Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025-26
The students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for the Sainik School admission (2025-26):
For class VI admission:
- The student’s age should be between 10 to 12 years on the cut-off date of 31 March 2025.
- The students must be studying in class V examinations in a recognized school and should pass class V before admission.
For Class IX admission:
- The student’s age should be between 13 and 15 years on the cut-off date of 31 March 2025.
- They must be enrolled in Class VIII in a recognized school, and they must pass the Class VIII examination for 2025 admission.
Sainik School Admission Process 2025-26
The Sainik School Society will select the candidates for the 2025-26 admission based on the following admission process:
- Entrance exam: The candidates need to register and pay the registration fee to participate in the NTA-conducted entrance examination. The candidates who will appear in the AISSEE 2025 and pass the exam with minimum qualification marks will move to the next stage of admission.
- Document verification and Medical fitness: The candidates will be required to complete the original document verification for admission, and undergo a medical examination based on the Sainik Schools standard.
- Online Counselling: The candidates who clear the entrance exam will be eligible to participate in the all-Indian Sainik school admission counseling based on their rank and score in the exam. The authority will allot a seat in the Sainik Schools concerning the candidate’s rank and score.
Admission to the Sainik Schools is held through two routes – 40% of seats are based on Student rank and 60% are based on NSS enrollment and the rank achieved in the school-wise merit list.

The applicants will need to pay the following application fee for the Sainik School admission through AISSEE 2025 in the academic year 2025-26:

Sainik School Exam Date 2025-26
As the officials have not released any official notice for the Sainik School 2025-26 admission, the official AISSEE 2025 exam date is still in question. However, based on the 2024 AISSEE exam date (28 January 2024), the candidates can expect the exam in January 2025.

Sainik School Admit Card & Result 2025-26
The NTA will release the admit card for the AISSEE 2025 at least 10 days before the examination on the official website that will be created for the AISSEE 2025. The candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website through their application number and DOB.
The aspiring student who seeks admission to the Sainik schools will be able to check the AISSEE 2025 result in a month or two on the official website. Based on the past trend, the candidates can expect the result in March 2025 and the final merit list in April 2025 based on medical and written examination.
