Samsung Fold 6 Price, Design, Specifications, and Availability!

On July 10, at the Samsung Unpacked event, the Samsung Z Fold 6 was unveiled. After the Unpacked event, it was immediately available for pre-order; general availability began on July 24. Prices for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 begin at $1,899.99.

On July 10, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 foldable phones, which it says are the most robust models in the Galaxy Z series to date. For better shock absorption and scratch resistance, Samsung has used “enhanced armor aluminum” in the construction of both phones. 

Additionally, the display has improved the area where the interior display creases. The base 256GB model of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 costs $1,899.99; the 512GB and 1TB models cost $2,019.99 and $2,259.99, respectively. 

Its price in the UK increased by its predecessors by £50, from £1,749 to £1,799. The price has increased from AU$2,599 to AU$2,749, meaning that Australians will have to pay an additional $150. In India, the starting price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is ₹1,64,999. 

Samsung Fold 6 Design 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 introduces some significant design changes that make it stand out. The device has an external 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a pixel density of 410 ppi and a resolution of 968×2,376. 

A 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a pixel density of 374 ppi and a resolution of 1,856×2,160 is used as the inner screen. Smooth and effective performance is provided by the adaptive refresh rate that both screens support, which ranges from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The foldable phone has three cameras on its back: a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a 123-degree field of view, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel wide angle camera with dual pixel autofocus and optical image stabilization.

Samsung Fold 6 Availability Date

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 was officially unveiled on July 10, 2024, during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Pre-orders for this foldable smartphone have already begun, and it is set to go on general sale on the Samsung website, Amazon, Best Buy, and national carriers, starting from July 24, 2024.


The base model with 256GB storage starts at $1,899, which is $100 more than the equivalent Galaxy Z Fold 5. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is now available for preorder on Amazon and the Samsung website. Australia will have to wait until July 31 for the release of the Samsung Fold 6.

The Z Fold 6 boasts improved durability, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and enhanced Galaxy AI features. In the U.S Preorders will receive free 12-month Samsung Care Plus phone protection from Samsung in addition to a $1,200 credit toward a qualified trade-in.
