A total of 16 warm up matches are set to take place ahead of the T20 World Cup starting from May, the tournament proper will commence on 2 June but the participating teams will be geared up in the upcoming matches for the competition.
T20 World Cup 2024 Warm Up Matches
England, Pakistan and New Zealand have decided to skip the warm up games, while England and Pakistan are involved in a four match T20 series currently that will end on 30 May, the Kiwis have decided to completely skip the exercise. India will be facing Bangladesh on 1 June, while the host West Indies will be playing only a solitary match.
The warm up matches will take place across these venues Brain Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba and a couple of US venues in Dallas and Florida. The match between India and Bangladesh will take place in New York where the arch rivals India and PAkistan are scheduled to face off on 9 June.
The T20 World Cup West Indies and USA 2024 is sure to be a remarkable display of competitive cricket, featuring 20 teams and 55 games that will unfold across 6 Host Venues in the West Indies and 3 Host Venues in the USA from 1 June to 29 June 2024.
Schedule of The T20 World Cup 2024 Warm Up Matches
The T20 World Cup 2024 warm up match fixtures have been scheduled from 27 May to 1 June, locations across the USA and in Trinidad and Tobago. A total of 16 warm up matches will take place, with the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Browards Country Stadium in Florida, and two venues in Trinidad and Tobago set to host these games.

T20 World Cup 2024 Warm Up Matches Format
The T20 qualifying teams will be divided into four groups of five teams, the top two teams in each group will advance to the Super 9 round. In this stage the qualifying teams will be divided into two groups of four, top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage, which will consist of two semi- finals and a finals.
The 2024 T20 World Cup qualification is the process by which teams qualify for the 2024 T20 World Cup. A series of regional qualification tournaments determined the teams which will take part in the tournament.

It is understood that for now two matches will be telecast live and they are West Indies vs Australia and India vs Bangladesh. Both Matches will be live on Star Sports Network and live streaming will be available on Hotstar.
