Eligibility Criteria for the UGC NET December 2024

- A candidate must have pursued a Master’s degree from an institution recognized by the University Grant Commission.
- A candidate who is in the final year/semester of the Postgraduate degree is also eligible to apply for the UGC NET December 2024.
- An individual who has pursued a four-year Bachelor’s degree under CBCS and in the last year/semester are eligible to apply.
- There is no upper age limit for the Assistant Professorship, but for Junior Research Fellowship, a candidate shouldn’t be 30 years.
- The upper age relaxation is applicable for 3 and 5 years for OBC-NCL and SC/ST, respectively.
Application Fee for the UGC NET December 2024
In order to apply for the UGC NET December 2024, a candidate who belongs to UR is required to pay the fee of ₹1,150/-, those who belong to OBC are required to pay ₹600/-. The payable amount for SC, ST, and PwBD, and Third Gender is only ₹325/-. Exam Date for UGC NET December 2024
The exam date for UGC NET December 2024 is confirmed by the National Testing Agency, individuals need to know that it is going to be administered from 01 to 19 January 2025 with an examination time duration of 03 hours in two shifts, from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon, and 03:00 pm to 06:00 pm across the country at various examination centres.
