YSR Cheyutha Payment Status 2023-24

On 9th May 2024, the EIC stopped the payment disbursement of the six schemes to the account of beneficiaries due to general elections. The EIC claims that the government planned to distribute the scheme’s financial support to the beneficiary’s account near the poll date (13 May 2024), which could influence the voters in favor of the current government.

The AP government denied such doings, stating that all the schemes are ongoing and did not come under the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). Due to the ban, the beneficiaries could only receive the payment after the polling date.

According to recent updates, the beneficiaries of YSR Cheyutha and other schemes must have received the 2024-24 payment in their account through DBT mode. The authority claims that they have credited the ₹5868,26 crores in the account of beneficiaries between 14 May 2024 and 18 May 2024.

The payment distribution for the six schemes after the polling date is as follows:

Schemes 14-18th May 2024 amount credited  The total amount credited till 18 May 2024
