The current controversy of NEET 2024 results has led to speculation of the NEET UG 2024 counselling. The Court has refused to put a stay on Conuseeling, so the students who have cleared the exam or will clear the re-test exam can learn the counselling process from here.
NEET UG 2024 Counselling
The controversial NEET results case has gone to the supreme judicial body of the country after the NTA plea, the Supreme Court. Several petitions were filed in court against the NEET results, grace marks, paper leaks at various locations, and increases in marks that led to high scores leading to speculation on the counselling.
The Center has informed the Court about the cancellation of the card of the 1563 candidates who got the grace marks and the candidates will get the opportunity to take the retest of NEET UG to ensure their candidature for admission in medical colleges through the NEET.
The court will refuse to put a stay on the counselling and re-examination of the 1563 candidates. According to reports, the re-examination of the candidates will take place on 23 June 2024, the authority will declare the result around 30 June 2024, and commence the counselling from 6 July 2024 after the result of the NEET 2024 re-test of the candidates.

MCC UG 2024 Counselling Process
The NEET aspirants who qualify for the NEET-UG 2024 can expect the admission counselling notification soon. The aspirants can follow the below counselling process for the upcoming NEET 2024 counselling to commence on 6 July 2024:
- Registration: The candidates who qualify for the 15% All India Quota Seats MBBS/ DBS state seats, 100% MBBS/BDS seats of BHU, 100% JIPMER Seats, 100% MBBS seats of AIIMS, and others can register for the admission counselling based on the merit list declared by the respective categories. The candidates must register for the counselling and pay the counselling fee to participate in the NEET UG 2024 counselling. The candidates will have to apply separately for each round of NEET counselling.
- Choice Filing: After the counselling registration, the candidates have to fill in their preference of colleges on the application portal before the designated date. The choices will be locked after a certain date.
- Seat allotment: The authority will release the seat allotment list of the candidates based on their rank and availability of seats on each round of counselling. The candidates satisfied with their seat allotment can accept the seat and move forward with the admission process. Candidates who are not satisfied with their seats in round one can apply for round 2 with their preference and further round.
- Report to the allotted college: The candidates must report to the allotted college and complete the admission process by presenting relevant documents and paying the admission fee.
Remember, the candidates who did not join through Round 3 of the NEET counselling will exit the NEET counselling and will not be eligible to participate further in the NEET counselling.
Documents Required for the NEET UG 2024 Counselling
Candidates will required the following documents for the NEET UG 2024 counselling:
- NEET UG 2024 Admit card
- Class X and XII certificate and scorecard
- NEET UG 2024 scorecard
- Identity proof, such as Aadhar Card, Voter ID, etc.
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Eight passport-size photographs
- Provisional allotment letter generated online.

Qualified NEET aspirants can register for the NEET UG Counselling on the MCC official website. The candidates need to pay the following registration non-refundable fee to participate in the NEET UG 2024 cousnelling based on their category:

Candidates can follow the below steps to apply for the NEET UG 2024 Counselling, once the registration window is activated by the authority:
- Go to the official MCC website at http://mcc.nic.in/
- Next, look for the NEET UG 2024 counselling registration link.
- Next, enter your NEET UG roll number, name, application number, DOB, and security pin and submit the details to receive the login credentials.
- Now, log into the portal and submit your details, such as your Father’s name, mother’s name, etc.
- Next, pay the applicable NEET cousnelling registration fee through your preferred method
- After the successful transaction, your NEET Cousnelling registration will be treated as complete.
- Next, remember to enter your choice of colleges in the order of preference before the final date to lock your preferences.
