The government can release the portal for the Subhadra Yojana with the required information of the Yojana soon. According to our calculations, the women beneficiaries can expect the application form online for the scheme in August 2024 as the government promises to implement the scheme within three months of government formation.

The women of Odisha can expect the following eligibility requirements to apply for the Subhadra Yojana: 

  • The women applicants must be Odisha natives with domicile. 
  • Only one woman from the Odisha household can apply for the scheme
  • The age of the women applicant should be above 18 years. 
  • Women belonging to economically weaker section families can apply. 

Exclusion: 

  • Women working in any central or state government department as government workers cannot apply for the scheme.
  • The household with any member working in the government sector can exclude the women of the household from the Subhadra Yojana.

According to the news so far, the women beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana will receive ₹50,000 in the form of a cash voucher. The beneficiaries can encash the ₹50,000 worth of cash vouchers within two years of its disbursement. 

The women can use this cash voucher as per their need to start a new business or learn a new skill to move forward on a path that leads to independence and empowerment.  The recipients are free to use the amount according to their and their family’s needs. 

The proper distribution of the promised financial aid will be revealed shortly by the government so that the women can easily manage their daily expenses, provide better nutrition to their children, and do something to improve their lives.
