Luke Littler, a 17-year-old phenom who finished second in his inaugural PDC World Darts Championship, is competing in the 20th Premier League Darts Brighton 2024, which begins on February 1, 2024, and continues until May 23, 2024.

Premier League Darts Brighton 2024

Being run by the Professional Darts Corporation, the current darts competition known as the 2024 Premier League Darts (or the BetMGM Premier League Darts due to sponsorship considerations) is the league’s twentieth edition.

The competition kicked off on Thursday, 1 February 2024, at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena and will conclude with the play-offs on Thursday, 23 May 2024, at London’s O2 Arena.

The record-breaker has never played on the PDC Tour. Yet, his current world ranking of 31 is absurdly high given that he is the youngest player to participate in the Premier League and the lowest-ranked player ever to be chosen.

Premier League Darts 2024 Format

Nightly eight-player knockout brackets will continue to play out in the 2024 Premier League Darts, with each of the seven matches going the full six legs. At least once in the quarterfinals during the first seven weeks, and again between weeks 9 and 15, are the players guaranteed to face each other.

The league rankings determine the pairings for weeks 8 and 16 at that moment. Finishing in the semi-finals awards two points, finishing in second place awards three, and winning the final awards five.

On May 23, at the O2 Arena in London, the top four players in the Premier League standings as of the conclusion of Night 16 in Sheffield will go on to the play-offs.

  • Night Winner – 5 points + £10,000 bonus
  • Runner-Up – 3 points
  • Semi-Finalists – 2 points

Once the quarterfinals are complete, the top four finishers advance to the final, where the evening’s victor will be announced. Each match consists of a best-of-11 format, with five points awarded to the victor, three to the runner-up, and two to the two semi-finalists who did not advance.
